Metchosin
More About Metchosin
Metchosin, one of the Western Communities of Greater Victoria, is a charming coastal district that showcases pastoral landscapes, sprawling farmlands, small forests, and rocky headlands overlooking the Juan de Fuca Strait. Its rural lifestyle is preserved through local regulations requiring minimum one- to two-acre lots, allowing the area to maintain its serene charm while still offering potential for thoughtful development.
The district is made up of eight neighborhoods connected by winding country roads. William Head Road, for example, leads to some of Metchosin’s stunning parks, including Albert Head Lagoon, Witty’s Lagoon, and Devonian Regional Park, where coastal wildlife is frequently spotted. Residents and visitors can also enjoy horseback riding clubs, well-maintained golf courses, historical museums, and Pearson College, which welcomes international students, making Metchosin a place rich with activities and experiences.
